Who cares about babies -- there's no underseat stowage!
The only time I sit in a bulkhead seat is if that's the only seat left. Last time this happened I sneaked my laptop into the space under my seat, and when the person behind me started putting his stuff under that same seat, I had to carefully cover my laptop with my legs and shoes.
Even more scary on this flight -- during boarding, one of the flight attendants explained (very carefully!) to a mentally retarded passenger in the bulkhead across the aisle that she will need to store her purse in the overhead during take-off and landing, and she will give it back to her during the flight and after arrival.
Luckily I "got away" with it, but had the flight attendant seen my laptop half-way under my feet, I would have gladly
switched seats (
today's topic of course
) with the guy behind me, although that would present the problem of where to put his things since the flight was full and the overheads were full (just enough room for the poor lady's purse in the F overhead).
