I was at LAX on a Monday morning recently. Really, I have seen disaster but nothing matched this. The line was outside the door nearly down to T6. Wish I knew how to post a photo, those pax had to be in line for 2 hrs.
SP was a snaked line, through some weird side thing. Supposedly someone was checking to see that everyone qualified to be in that line but it was a mess. Used a shortcut to enter from Level 3 but it was still about 40 min to pass through TSA.
Good news for you, they are pretty slow in the early evening. I would allow a little extra time and enjoy it in the SC if that's an option.
