3Cforme and olwagner, I understand both of your points, but those sound like they are more applicable to SPG-wide promotions. This promo was run by a specific hotel and thus the hotel would be the responsible party, not SPG. My understanding is that the hotel "purchases" SPG points from SPG corporate, correct?
I think that's a material difference.
