I am usually coming from Thailand. I am 64 years old and retired , travel with little luggage and always feel like a criminal when I fly into Detroit.
I have never been stopped at JFK, LAX, IAH, MIA, SFO only by these morons in Detroit and it happens every time.
Last week was the end for me . I will never come through Detroit again and if that means using an airline other then Delta then that is what I will do.
Sometimes I notice this on and off at DTW. One way to mitigate the problem (to a large degree) is to enroll in the GOES program. You can still get randomly stopped and checked for sure and if you get caught sneaking food or some other contraband (heads up for AMS-DTW folks
) you are in world of S**t but otherwise it works well.
