I would contact Samsonite to see if they consider it a covered thing or not.

If it came that way, they may consider it a defect and repair it, if it was damaged by an airline or whatever, they may not.

How long the warranty is and all that depends on which bag was purchased, but for a few months there probably is some type of warranty, the question becomes is the issue covered or not.
