Hello fellow FTers! A question from an OZ *S based on ICN
I'm about to book a 3-4 day-long round trip ICN-BKK in C with my 63 year-old mother.
Looking at possible itineraries, there are basically 3 choices: non-stop (ICN-BKK: TG656-TG659), 1-stop at HKG (ICN-HKG-BKK: TG628/TG629) or 1-stop at TPE(ICN-TPE-BKK: TG634/TG635)
From what I can understand, there are following pros and cons for 1-stop flights;
Pros: Two meals! (no idea about their quality difference

), Day-time flight (non-stop BKK-ICN TG656 & TG658 are both red-eyes, ICN-BKK TG657 is night-time flight. TG659 is day-time flight though.)
Cons: Longer travel time (+1.5 hours?), Need to disembark at the stops, Probably no amenity kits?
Unknowns for me are:
- Will 1-stop flights earn the same mileage (in my & my mother's OZ accounts of course

) as non-stop flights? (which by the way all have single flight codes, TG628 for ICN-HKG-BKK, TG629 for the return, TG634 for ICN-TPE-BKK and TG635 for the return)
- Enough time to visit lounges in HKG/TPE? (only 1 hour available & also need to consider my mother...)
Thanks in advance for your attention and your input!
(By the way, it's going to be the first C-class experience for my mother.)
