It seems like LH is experiencing massive problems with its new A380 service FRA-PEK (LH720/LH71). Until yesterday the flights were scheduled three times a week. This was part of all official LH announcements, flight plans and booking engines.
Today (the day of the inaugural flight) LH announced that they will fly for the next two weeks only once a week. Today a hasty press notice was given out that even has a big error in it (instead of Beijing it reads Johannesburg in an important paragraph - you can see this on the German LH company webpage).
Some German aviation newsletters state that LH has had massive problems with the Chinese official approval of that service and only got the approval yesterday. Maybe this is one of the reasons for the delay of the regular service.
Bad for me: I had postponed my flight from PEK to FRA to Saturday in order to fly A380 (and had an e-voucher upgrade to F put up on the waiting list) - now I will fly back the very old 747

And all this of course without any notice to the passengers (obviously nobody at LH could imagine that passengers might have booked these flights on purpose)
