The meals are/were much better ex-Japan than ex-US but even ex-US they were still a nice change from normal business class fare. I would be shocked if they discontinued them completely. It's not like they didn't have enough takers for them, and I would think this would discourage Japanese travelers from booking DL. AA, UA, and CO all offer Japanese meals.
