I've also been told that this is the third uncontained engine failure involving a RR engine in recent weeks. There was also an uncontained failure in the test rig for the 787 engine (Trent 1000) and an uncontained Trent 700 failure on a Dragonair A330 which caused fuselage damage.

I imagine the the boys in Darby are quite busy at the moment!
