This really disturbs me. I believe in people being paid for a job and I have heard the rhetoric about the need to keep these top execs. But you have to wonder--why keep them? what have they done? They have enough wits to give themselves a safe landing but how can they do that at the same time that they're asking for concessions from the rank and file? It reminds of Congress granting themselves a raise and then saying the minimum wage doesn't need to be raised. All of this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.
