Yep -any nervous pax sitting close by would be freaked out. I think the guy needs to just calm down a bit really. It is good advice -maybe saying, "can I recommend that you keep your shoes on?" as opposed to "Put your shoes on." Well, what about if I don't want to put my shoes on?
