Had no problems getting into the CO Presidents Club at SFO today with my US club membership card. The club agent even took a moment to show another agent the "right" way to scan a US card as there's something finicky between the US cards and the CO card readers. Very pleasant people here, but frankly I'm a little underwhelmed with the club in general. It's smaller than the US club at LAX and IMHO the furnishings and decor at the US clubs I've visited are a little more upscale. The "free alcohol" has long been touted as a big benefit that the CO club has over the US club but at least at this club, the selection of complimentary choices is pretty limited, and the more familiar brands are for sale at prices in line with US club prices. Not complaining because I don't expect anyone to give me the Cristal for free on a $300 annual membership Just saying that US clubs really don't deserve the bad rap they get when compared to other carriers. Granted, my experience in clubs outside of the actual US brand is pretty limited, and is mostly International clubs. When you put any American domestic club up against the Koru Club in Auckland or the MLL in Vancouver, they're going to look pretty sad. But when comparing apples to apples, US is in line with or better than the others I've seen.

Would be interesting to see a full-on comparison of various clubs all in one place!

Will check out one of the UA RCC's in IAD in a couple of weeks when I'm there to go across the pond on Virgin Atlantic; unfortunately not in Upper Class, as I am not rich, but I would love to see the Clubhouse.

Does *G on a foreign carrier give a traveler access to the *G carriers' clubs/lounges in their home country? Just curious here too, because I know it's a pain point for many that the *G lounge benefit earned on US/UA/CO only extends when you're traveling Internationally. Could a *G on Air Canada for example, get access to the MLL's in Canada when traveling completely within Canada?
