For mine, the worst aspects of DL's program were already in place prior to the merger:

- the three tier award chart structure where the only available redemptions for international flights fall between medium and high unless yield management are having a coffee break
- the slow morphing into "American Express Airlines" where you're instantly at a disadvantage if you don't qualify for a DL Amex, whether it's through your credit score or you're not a US resident.
