It is bad, but the problem they were having before was actually worse, as I am sure you noticed. Before, not only were people backing up onto the escalators but they had to hold everyone downstairs, causing the entire terminal around checkin to become so clogged it was almost impossible to walk around. It is not so much a problem of the NEW setup being horrible as it is a problem with the entire layout.
Having done the old set up probably 30 times and the new set up twice... So far the OLD was MUCH better if you are an elite! New set up is a disaster.
However, what it does teach... ARRIVE late. It's the only place I have EVER seen them pulling that mean passengers to the front. Meaning of course those of you who arrived early or on time will be "punished" by waiting until YOU have to be pulled. IDIOTS!
