You should go to the Arrivals lounge, which is located landside, in 2C; on your way from 2E to 2D, it adds about a 5mn walk. Showers are fine there and you should have a nice continental breakfast. It opens at 5:00 AM and you just need to show your IAD-CDG boarding passes.

The 2D lounge is now the oldest AF lounge in CDG and, as it caters to short medium-haul flights, it has no showers. I would stay as long as possible in the Arrivals lounge and skip the 2D lounge. Don't forget to use the Accès n°1 Priority checkpoint located at the center of 2D as well as the priority lane for immigration in 2E.
