I would not trust the tap water at any hotel anywhere in China. It may be OK at certain 5 star properties, but I am not taking that chance. The most I will use the tap water for is to rinse my toothbrush, and then I give it another rinse with bottled water.

Any decent hotel will provide you will enough bottled water. Don't take a chance!
