I'm new here.

I also have a mis-matched ticket and passport problem for an upcoming flight to the USA with Virgin Atlantic booked at a travel site. I'll try to illustrate it clearly.

My wife has a hyphenated last name on her passport. ie Smith-Jones.

On the e-ticket confirmation it shows SMITHJONES, and when i went to the Virgin Atlantic site to check on the booking, it shows Smithjones.

There's also a problem with her first name.

At the travel agent site I entered her first and second names as they appear on her passport, ie Nancy Jane.

On the e-ticket confirmation it shows NANCYJANE. On the
Virgin Atlantic site it says Nancyjane.

The Virgin Atlantic site says in bold: For security reasons it is absolutely essential that the name on your booking, ticket and passport are exactly the same.

The Visa Waiver program people have her first name as Nancy only.

I'm trying to get through to Virgin Atlantic about this, but their site isn't accepting mail queries, so in the meantime I thought I'd ask whether you think I should be working on changing the names on the ticket. (30 GBP per change according to Virgin)
