Hi, this is probably a question for MilesBuss but I am mostly interested in AA anyway. I have found a web site called StudentUniverse that sells cheap tickets (mostly on AA) for student and faculties. My wife, a teach, is planning a trip. StudentUniverse.com found a fare for $275.34 (I can't find any fare code information) where on AA.com the same flights cost $1148.

My questions are:
1) Is StudentUniverse legit? How could they offer tickets so much cheaper?
2) If it is a legit business, I assume it sells some kind of consolidator fare. In that case, can my wife get mileage credit for it?
3) If you have had experience with them, please share.
4) Is there a place on AA.com where I can book similar student/faculty fare and get the 1000 mile booking bonus?
