I am a FF due to corporate travel. In the field that I am employed (IT consulting), I would not make the salary that I do if I was not willing to travel. Where I live (Baltimore, MD suburbs), my salary allows me to afford to give my wife the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom and homeschool my children. Conservative estimates from years of looking at non-travel jobs indicate that my salary would decrease by as much as 40% and she would have to go back to work; so, I sacrifice my time with my family in order to provide her with her dream.
