Hello. So happy to find this site! I have been trying to search for a thread to help me answer this for hours today....Finally I broke down and posted a new thread. Please don't flame me for not searching, I really did

(I have not used starpoints yet) It is my understanding that when I redeem points for free room that I will get the lowest category room that hotel offers; correct?

Assuming I am correct my question is this:

Can I redeem more points so that I can upgrade the room on that free night?
