In March of 2010 I switched over to Continental from American....I live in Dallas and fly to Houston a lot....I cancelled all of my AA credit cards and moved over the Continental Chase cards.......as my luck would have it, I switched regions, and am now flying American again and wanted to get an AA credit card. They will not let me open any of my old accounts back up because they have been closed for over 30 days, and I've applied twice for new cards and am denied because the offers are for new customers only.....the idiots at Citibank send me back in forth to new applications and card member services....both say they should be able to help, but of course, neither of them can, and they just say...sorry! I spend like 30k a year on my card, have never been late, and have a 750 credit score.....In all seriousness....I'm guessing I can't ever get an AA card again?? This is insane....any help would be nice.
