To be clear

The carry on baggage requirements are not a "guideline"

They are the maximum permitted dimensions of carry on baggage.

In fact many Flight Attendants have been disciplined after having had check rides by Transport Canada for permitting oversized baggage in the cabin.

Once Again, regardless of your being seated in J or Y class cabins, the rules of carry on are non negotiable and should be enforced consistently across the board.

That said, I realise that there are those cabin crew who follow and enforce and those who look the other way, just as the same occurs with agents. However, these individuals negligence or lack of professionalism in following the airlines policies and standards Approved by Transport Canada, does not permit passengers to abuse, argue, or intimidate those crew members or employees who are doing their jobs.

For those who have the atititude that because of their aeroplan status or purchase of a J class ticket the rules should be bent or ignored. Ask yourself, where the line is to be drawn! How would u like it if the person beside you in J class had 3 carry on bags and your foot space was being occupied by an inconsiderate individual who could not follow the rules and felt they were "special".

SE and E passengers are treated with respect and privledges not afforded to all other passengers. Priority Check In, Concierge Agents, Upgrade Coupons, Excess Weight Limits on Checked baggage, the list goes on and on!

The line is drawn at the safety of the crew and other passengers. If your bag is not compliant with carry on rules and does not fit in the bag sizer. Check your bag, or you will be turned back at the door of my aircraft to go see the boarding agent and check your bag!

Safe Flying!
