I know many people who make travel a priority over other choices, and am fortunate that my family always encouraged this.

Relating back to another thread, I do think that travel can influence ones viewpoint, and I am not surprised when I learn that often people with a limited scope or the inability to understand differing viewpoints are often infrequent travellers.

I'm grateful that even when money was very tight travel was encouraged amongst my circle of family and friends.
