I was thinking why it is that I'm NOT a frequent flyer. My job doesn't require it, and though I sure think its a great way to spend time, it just costs too much as a discretionary expenditure. So I figured the natural way people get to be FF's is that it helps their company grow.

The ones that take lots of flights just for the enjoyment have to be incredibly richer than I am. Is anyone in what I'd call "middle class", meaning family income $100,000 or below, a recreational FF?
