Other perks I get as *A (CO Platinum) at US: no bag fees for up to 3 bags and no standby fees for earlier, same day flights. That too is per the ticket counter agents...although if I'm in the gate area and notice a late flight leaving, I often ask to jump on it and don't need to pay a fee if there's room.

With all the people claiming these aren't official policies, I must be the luckiest person around to have these perks consistently.

I think they have some good front-line people in their lounges and at their ticket counters. They've always been very appreciative of my business...and recognize my *A status. The last two flights, when I've checked at the ticket counter for my upgrades ,the agents have acknowledged the Star Gold status and thanked me for my business. I have a suspicion that if I used my US # on a CO flight, a CO agent wouldn't thank me for using CO for my travels for that day the way US does for me on their plane as a CO elite.

Same Experience. I have had nothing but exceptional customer service from US Airways as a Co PLAT / *Gold.

Recently, I flew on US Airways - Exit rows were not an issue as a Co Plat. I did not request an upgrade. The flight was canceled due to weather and vouchers were provided without any hesitation.

When I received my bags (it was at the baggage desk since it arrived before me) there was a paper on it with my itinerary - it also said, "Platinum - Plz extend all courtesies"

I thought that was especially interesting, since I thought US Airways would only recognize me as *G.
