In my post above (#5), I made an OT comment on our LHR-ZRH flight yesterday. Unwittingly, it may have given the impression that it was worse than it was.

I would like to apologise for any concern felt by imminent passengers to ZRH. At no time did I feel we were in any danger. As I indicated, the cabin crew carried on their duties as normal.

Only once have I experienced a real feeling of possible danger, many years ago on CP between Ottawa and Toronto. The words I never want to hear again were 'Cabin crew, take evasive action'. Immediately the c.c. dropped to a crouching position in the aisle and held on to the seats very firmly. Of course we landed safely.
