exAC, on what routes do CP crews offer this "superior" service. I'd like to experience it some time.

My perception goes back to when I started using some CP flights versus always travelling AC. On each CP flight, I felt that there was more attention paid to serving the customer than what I used to with AC. They made more trips through the cabin [especially in Y]. I was not left with my dirty meal tray in front of me while there was a gab-fest by three FA's in the rear galley. I did not see the curtain pull as the first sign of movement by a crew member. and generally the whole atmosphere on a CP flight was far more attentive and caring.

I used to have to sit at the back of whatever cabin I was in [as an employee that was reasonably so] and from there I was able to get a good view as to what would go on during a flight. I still am observant as to how the cabin and customer service is going. It is not to say that there have not been good trips on AC, but I can't recall a bad one with a CP crew onboard.

By the way, you might have a 3XXX flight number and have AC flight attendants and vice versa. They are not totally intermingled, but they do work each others aircrafts now. You have to listen carefully to see which legacy airline they came from.

As an anecdote also about AC standards for hiring FA's, I know of a woman who was turned down for a job as an AC flight attendant because she was not assertive enough. This was even though she had 5 years experience as an SQ flight attendant.
