In your case for your PWM-ORD flight on UA, that flight will get you roughly 900 EQM and 900 RDM. As an elite member you also get bonus RDMs on top of that (either 25% or 100% of the base miles, depending on elite level). So you'd get either get an additional 225 RDM for silver or an additional 900 RDM for gold/plat.
It's those additional RDMs that you would not get on the SK flights. I believe that you only get bonus RDM on UA, US, LH, and AC.
