That's a pretty significant change. The cheapest in-season fares from Boston to most Caribbean destinations (other than SJU) start at about $800 per person. For my family of four that's at least $3,200 in tickets for a four hour flight in coach. I'm not sure I understand the logic of those fare levels, especially when it costs about 25% less to fly to SJU, and 60-75% less to fly to Miami, both of which are fairly close in flight time and mileage. (Not to mention that I can fly to Europe or California for half that - but that is a different story!)
