Checking fares to CUN and STT for next winter, I noted that at least when I look at AA's cheapest fares (which are no cheaper that competitor's fares) they are no longer offering a discount for children under 12. While I always wondered about the logic of the children's discount (they take up a seat just like everyone else), I was happy to get what at one time was a 50% discount, then a 33% discount, and most recently a 25% discount. Seems that AA is quietly tinkering with eliminating the discount (although the discount for an infant under 2 occupying a seat with a ticket still stands). Have a missed an announcement of this? Anyone have any insights?
