Will this cause any problems, as in not getting miles if the names do not match up?

the same goes for this one,

My chase bank have my old name, while my FF card have my new name.
I know I can go to the bank and get that changed but if I still get the miles without having to go to the bank, that would be better..
i just did this in reverse. my FF mile accounts are all in my maiden name (as well as passport!) but i recently opened a bank account with suntrust for skymiles in my new name. the bonus points as well as purchase points show up in my skymiles account without fail every month.
i plan on changing the name over as soon as my passport expires at the end of next year and just booking travel in my maiden name until then so that the ticket will match the passport which matches the skymiles acct#.
just my experience, but HTH!
