It may also be helpful to make sure you're seated at the front of the plane to get through immigration faster. I've found BOS to actually be very quick (moreso than EWR) in getting people through immigration, but it never hurts to be at the front of the plane and head of the line instead of the back (sometimes I'll even take a middle seat to minimize the wait time, and find it totally worth it, and yes, I am waiting for my Global Entry application to go through)
On the LHR-BOS return on VS11, I'm in seat 2A, the first 'A' seat. I assume I will exit from 1L so I'll be right there. And I know the skybridge from E to the garage, then the next skybridge to A. I've stayed at the Logan Hilton many times. Before my outbound BOS-LHR flight, I'll check on whether I can recheck in E or have to recheck with CO in A.
