I have my preference set to earning points also, but if I go to My Account and then Register For Special Promos, the two airline offers mentioned above appear there, below the zillions of silly variations of the points promo (an AAA variation which claims you have to book at aaa.com instead of bestwestern.com, which I'm pretty sure isn't true, a Harley variation, etc).

However, Choice is starting up 8k points for every 2 stays again next week, uncapped for Platinum and Diamond Elite (and I'm one of those there), and so I'm not so much considering which of these BW promos to do as whether to bother with any of them.
