From my perspective, I'll hit gold in 3 weeks but I certainly won't be trying to do that again. I'll probably use my soft landing to try other options - whilst still having the silver card to reap all the BA status benefits - remind me what they are again...??
Trouble is, there aren't many options between MIA and LHR (direct non stop - hmmm VS/AA) so I may have to stick with BA - least I don't have to chase status anymore - I can pick n choose my flights and pay £160 for 64K.... and save myself a wad of cash. Nice one BA!
