This was the same menu on IAD-GRU this month. My neighbor had the chicken, and it looked surprisingly good. The "carrot saute" also had squash and onion. There was hardly any asparagus, though. He asked for the express dine, but it was all gone by the time they got to him -- not sure his status, but it was pretty early in the order-taking. Probably they should load more express dines on these 10pm departures.

You know, I saw that magazine, and I saw the Selbach on the menu. I asked about it but it was not on any of the flights on my recent trip (SFO-SYD, SYD-MEL, SYD-SFO). I think Rieslings are generally too sweet, but I did try a couple of drier ones while in Australia.
I had this one on the IAD-GRU flight, and thought it was in fact super-sweet. First taste seemed just like honey. Second taste was better, like granny smith apples dipped in honey, so more complexity. Still, probably better with dessert than early in the meal.
