Can a friend transfer M&M Miles from her account into my M&M account?

Also, I have a ton of Amex Membership Rewards - I've heard the only way to transfer/convert them to M&M Miles is via Starwood or something like that.

Any ideas on how I can convert some AMEX Membership Rewards into M&M?

I need like 40,000....
