I signed up for it a few months ago after feeling the need to not disappoint the tele-operator who was obviously trying her best to get a few new customers. It's a shame how they, I assume, get paid very little for all the work they put it, with little or no success.

Anyway, just be cautious. I cancelled the policy right after my package arrived with very sparse information in it. I was supposed to sign and return a registration form that had absolutely no indication of the annual fees, etc. So I called the customer service number and attempted to find out the fees involved. The guy mentioned $15 per month (maybe $20 - I cannot remember for sure) for a full year after which there is lifetime "credit protection". I was puzzled as I had just confirmed from the website that it costs only $12 per month. His response to that was, "Sir, it has to do with your location as well". Strange, the website signup did not seem to discriminate geographically.

Then I mentioned that I was cancelling not because of the fee disparity but for the fact that the package contained absolutely no information about fees. He said that customers were assumed to have sufficient information prior to signing up. Weird, obviously lots of corporate lies and cover ups.

Sorry for blabbering incessantly. My point is, it's a good service, but I hate it when they refuse to be upfront because I reckon it to be the start of a shady partnership with its fair share of distrust.
