PHX will apparently be served by ORD, DFW, and STL only. In trying to wean myself off of UA I have been flying AA to NRT through either SJC or DFW ( for the miles ) and through to HKG. It is clear that even if I fly HP to LAX and take the CX ns I net the same number of status miles ! Doesn’t make sense.
