I can't fault them on not upgrading you - it's not a stupid act on their part. We don't want CO to start upgrading people willy-nilly and creating expectations that can't be delivered or might add another confusing variable to our own quest for upgrades.

If they decline to upgrade me on my upcoming DCA flights, that's fine - even if there are empty seats up front. I know what I'm asking for and what I might receive are favors and not benefits.

Now as to *G getting choice seats and US' own Elites not? Well I think that is absolutely stupid and US folks should be screaming about it.
