not for me it isn't! the whole purpose of high-speed is to make buring an hour on the web useful [paying bills, shopping for gifts I didn't have time to buy before leaving, or just catching up on news] instead of slow-speed painful.
that said, Deutsche Telekom's recent changes to the service are a pain-- expiring minutes, no more $20 refills, etc.
