Not really. The NW/KL and NW/CO partnership deals have an array of restrictions, such as:
1. Strong limitations on the ability of NW to c/s with another airline on Atlantic routes without KLM's approval;
2. Strong limitations on KLM's ability to codeshare with other US carriers without NW's approval;
3. Severe limitations on CO's ability to enter into partnerships with other large airlines without NW's approval; and
4. Modest limitations on NW's ability to c/s with other large airlines without CO's approval.
Note that NONE of the airlines involved will grant their "approval" without significant $$$, or the handover of CO Micronesia to NW, as the case may be.
