Might be traveling with infant-in-arms: Do I need to inform airline?
Hi all,
I will be traveling with a <2yr infant-in-arms on a domestic flight on United Airlines PHL-DFW-AUS. It is possible however that due to change of plans, the infant may not travel after all, and that I might fly alone. I will not know about the change of plans until the day of travel.
I have already purchased my ticket. Do I need to call United Airlines and inform them of the infant-in-arms, or can I wait until I get to the airport to inform them? If I inform them earlier, and then show up without the infant-in-arms, is that going to be a problem?
Also, the PHL-DFW-AUS flights on which I intend to travel with the infant are part of a round trip ticket. Is it ok to travel without the infant-in-arms for the onward journey and with the infant-in-arms for the return journey?
regards,
Ankur
