and received a nice email back from a woman who said she would call FL on the day reservations opened, but then went on to explain how special of a place it is, how tough reservations are, etc. I think that was to temper my expectations. However, she came through and got us a Saturday night reservation in February for the date I requested.

Interestingly, from the email communication it appeared (to me, at least) that there was a specific rep who handled all the FL requests since the first Plt Concierge I spoke to on the phone quickly bowed out of the process when this other person got involved. It was about 18 months ago, so I've long forgotten names, unfortunately.
