I agree with your conclusion, but the Hilton promotion to give one free night certification for every 10 nights ended on June 30th. The Hilton double points and miles promo runs until September 30th.
With the Best Western's AMERFALL10 promotion you would get 1,250 AA miles for 2 stays between September 12 and November 21. It appears you can get this for an unlimited number of stays if you are a BW elite.
At Hilton you can get 2,000 miles for 2 stays (1K for each stay) up until the end of September and you also get your regular base points plus your elite level bonus points.
At Hyatt you can get 2,500 miles for every stay with American Airlines AAdvantage through October 15, 2010.
At a Marriott through September 6, 2010, you can get 5,000 Delta SkyMiles (SkyPesos) for every stay starting with the second stay. So as much as I'd like to stay at the very nice Best Western hotel in the town where I travel regularly, I can't ever pass up the better promotions at the other hotel chains in the area.
If you are a hilton Diamond member you get a free night voucher for every 10 nights stayed between now and 12/31 and it can be combined with the Q3 double miles/double points bonus and I am assuming with whatever q4 bonus they have. You have to stay 10 nights though and won't get it with 4 stays like the Q1 and Q2 promo, however it appears that any nights used with rewards stay will count towards the 10 nights. This was a targeted promo (there was also one for 25K bonus points after every 10 nights) and it sounds like if you call the diamond desk they will enroll you in it even if you didn't receive the email.
I have earned enough Southwest credits with the Q3 bonus to qualify for a companion pass on WN, unfortuately all my paid business is going to DL the first of the year so it realy deosn't do me any good but I will have received at least one free night out of the Q3 Hilton promo. I hope Hilton doesn't eliminate the double dipping.
The 2 stays=1 free night promo BW has this sumemr though is nice. They got a stay out of me in July in Chicago that would have gone to Hilton if it wasn't for that promo.
