knifemein is absolutely right- there is a line onto the airplane, and there is a line off of the airplane. No one would put up with someone cutting in front of them getting on the plane, why would you put up with it on the way off?

UK practice is IMX that that "line" isn't formed until people stand up following the bong, and walk forwards if desired. It's acceptable to cut in so long as by doing so you don't cause someone to have to stop - you just wait for a gap. There is no need for those behind to wait for those in front - it's not a hierarchy (other than business/first class which may officially deplane first).
In any case, I agree with the point that violence is not a solution. That is, as they say, how wars start.
