I had the Amex platinum too and cancelled it, high annual fee, not accepted in as many places and also retailers add extra $ for the priviledge! sticking with my globalplus platinum! ^

Sometimes it pays to stay with the tried & true, I have had excellent service with globalplus and you get status points aswell as Airpoints !

I hope Amex are reading this thread and take on board the comments
