I honestly can't believe people recommend the Westin. I went on the recommendations here and for the first time I feel like FT let me down

Booked 4 nights in a deluxe oceanfront room in the newer tower. My god was it shabby. Walls and doors badly scraped from the housekeeping and bell staff. The room with its low ceiling was in need of an update with old beddings and worn carpet. We were on the preferred floor but in room '74'. Which is next to the lifts. Which make a very loud noise everytime they go up and down. 24/7. Reception certainly knew to what I was referring but 'sorry no other rooms' we could be moved too. I won't even start on the housekeeping.

As for the pool area - where do you start? 500(?) guests, 200 chairs all with towels on them 'reserving' them at 7am for people who never appear. Supposedly they are sweeped once an hour, but they aren't. The staff couldn't care less. So you can't sit by the pool.

We changed hotels for the last 2 nights up to Napili Bay. For a quarter of the price. Heaven after hell

I really really really strongly recommend this place be avoided unless you want to pay top dollar for what is essentially a 3 star hotel.
