Some of you know that I'm a teacher in NYC. This paragraph so wonderfully described the class I had last year. It was, by far, the worst teaching experience I have ever had. Not because of the kids, mind you, but because of the parents.
The parents called to complain about everything I did, and the opposite of that too.
Seriously, on Monday a parent would call my supervisor and complain that I gave too much work and was "limiting their growth and development as children." On Wednesday, another call, another parent, I "don't challenge the children enough."
What a year it was . . .
