We fly into Sydney on Sun (morning) 16th - out on Tues (evening) 18th Jan 2011.

Looking for somewhere to stay that is central, clean (girlfriend can't handle cockroaches!) and pleasant, from $150- $200 AUD a night

At that time, prices are high. I have narrowed it down to these:


• Radisson Plazza (breaking the budget slightly but could spring for it if really great)

• Rendezvous Stafford (near the rocks)

• Hyde Park Inn

• Meriton Apartments on Pitt

• Rydges World Square (cheapest)


We plan to checkout the opera house, rocks, qvb + central shopping, ferry to double bay/watson bay, chinatown and chinese garden. Maybe darling harbour.. the zoo. general sight seeing. We hope to get public buses/trains around town as needed

Any opinions on which would be the nicest to stay at?
