Thanks everyone, especially moondog, for your helpful comments. The travel is around Nov. The best I can find is around $755 all in on CA. The rest of *A is at least $1,000 all in or higher. I supposed if I wait until September/October, UA might have a sale. That's why I am trying to decide whether it's worth the trouble to fly CA (at 50% EQM/RDM, no less!).
